Overview
Yenepoya Physiotherapy College (YPC) was established in 2003 under the Islamic Academy of Education Trust (IAE) and the college was affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). The College was brought under the ambit of Yenepoya (Deemed-to-be university under section 3(A) of the UGC Act 1956 as per notification number F 9-11/2007 U-3 dated 27-02-2007) in the year 2009. YPC offers under graduate (BPT), postgraduate (MPT) and Ph.D, programmes. The institute is well known for its discipline, quality education and clinical research. Thus ensuring the quality of teaching learning and services to the society and the country as a whole. The first batch of BPT students successfully completed their program and was awarded their degrees in 2008. Postgraduate courses (MPT) have since begun in 3 elective branches of Neurology, Cardiothoracic & Orthopaedics under RGUHS in the year 2007. In the year 2016 Semester system for BPT programme and in 2018 Choice Based credit System was introduced for MPT programme with 4 specialities with 7 electives.
