Overview

Established in 1985, the A.B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences is duly recognized by the Dental Council of India for the Undergraduate and Post Graduate courses it offers. It also has the privilege of being recognized by the Malaysian Dental Council and is an affiliate of Okayama University Dental School Japan and an Academic Mentor to Oman Dental College, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. In association with the Smile Train Organization, USA and Cleft Children International, Switzerland, the College has the unique distinction of being at the forefront of treatment and Research in Clefts and Craniofacial Anomalies in the Country. A.B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences has the special honour of being presented with the "Best Community Dental Service Activities Award" of all dental schools in the country by the International College of Dentists, USA, for three years in a row and 2017-18 for promoting sensible oral health & hygiene among the general public and providing dental treatment to the agricultural and unfortunate individuals of the society. The college was recognized by the Indian Association of Dentistry in Public Health Nationwide with the Best Outreach Program Award for the 2016-17 period. The institution also won the coveted "SUSHRUTA AWARD" for the nation`s best community outreach program. , founded by IDA headquarters. AWARDS AND RECOGNITION: The Institution is Ranked 3rd among the Private Dental colleges by the Hansa Research Survey in the Country and 6th position in the recently announced Prestigious NIRF Rankings - 2021.
