Overview
Amiya Bharali Nursing Institute was established in 2008 in memory of Late Amiya Bala Bharali, originally beginning its journey with the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) training course. Over the years, the institute has seen significant growth, with 16 batches of students successfully completing the two-year ANM program as of 2025. Our graduates are now providing effective services across various government and private sector organizations throughout Assam. Building on this foundation, in the 2018-2019 academic year, the institute introduced the three-year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course, which has since seen the successful completion of 5 batches of students. Continuing this progression into higher professional education, the four-year B.Sc Nursing degree was launched in 2022, with our inaugural batch of degree students set to graduate in 2026. The institute operates under the full permission of the Government of Assam Health & Family Welfare Department (vide Memo No. HLA 742/2009/26 dtd.
