Overview

Arunodoy Montessori House of Children, founded in 1990 by Retd. Col. Dr. N.P. Mookerjee and his wife Mrs. Sumita Mookerjee have a 30-year history in pre-primary education. It is a prestigious preschool that provides high-quality education to children aged three to six. Arunodoy, located in Bangalore`s Koramangala 6th block , is known for its culture and vibrance. Arunodoy`s curriculum is one-of-a-kind, featuring an exquisite blend of academic, sensory, and co-curricular activities. There are three indoor habitats and a large outdoor area at the school. If you ever visit this institution, expect to be greeted with a warm `Namaste` by a bright little Arunodoy star or a faint melodious whiff of the Sanskrit prayer `Tvameva Mata Pita Tvameva` that grows stronger as you approach the settings where the children labor. Every youngster is unique and has significantly more intellectual capacity than adults give them credit for. In reality, research suggests that 50% of their intellectual growth occurs in the first four years of life and that by the age of eight, they have accomplished 80% of their potential! As a result, their pre-school years are the most formative and crucial years of their lives. Their greatest asset at this point is their keen curiosity and passionate quest for knowledge. They are alert, responsive, and their gaze is drawn to everything around them. Their ears pick up on what`s going on around them, and their fingers and hands are instruments for enthralled investigation. One of our most crucial responsibilities is to maintain our burning curiosity and enchanted sense of wonder. A child with a sense of surprise and curiosity will go far. A youngster may need to be pushed, pulled, or lured if they don`t have them. ARUNODOY`S Responsibilities The institution attempts to serve each and every kid on its rolls with the following services. Special Environments based on the Montessori Method`s principles Assisting Children in the Development of Special Skills Assist children in becoming self-sufficient and self-assured. ARUNODOY`S HISTORY The motivating element behind its creation is included in the name "ARUNODOY," which was our first son who is no longer with us, and this Institution was founded in his memory. Every year on his birthday, the 29th of May, this institution reopens to honor his memory. In the year 1990, Arunodoy Montessori House of Children began with five children on the rolls, and by the end of the year, the darling ones had grown to fifteen. We currently have two environments, each with its own set of equipment to cater to the needs of 45 children. There are also two specific environments, one for newly admitted children to assist them to settle in and the other for outgoing senior children who are about to graduate to prepare them for CLASSROOM TEACHING (for traditional schools in standard one) for part of the day. Not only to assure quality in teaching but also to instill respect for a vast environment in our children, the highest level has been set in the upkeep of the environments in terms of cleanliness and in the maintenance of the expensive equipment. Two Qualified Adults ( Diploma Holders) oversee each setting and are properly trained in the Montessori Method.
