Overview

The Assisi Central School is located in Bagambila hamlet, 16 kilometers from Mangalore on the Derlakatte Kotekar Road , on the picturesque campus of Shanthi Nilaya farm. Bagambila is a small village in the fast-growing township of Derlakatte, which was once a green village but now houses three medical colleges, including K. S. Hegde Medical College, Yenepoya Medical College, Fr. Muller`s Homeopathic Medical College, and Kanachur Medical College, as well as religious places of worship and many skyscrapers due to development and population growth. Assisi Central School is a coeducational school with a rigorous curriculum and a vibrant learning environment. We give kids the tools they need to grasp tough academic subjects like math, physics, languages, literature, and social sciences, and our global perspective helps them confront problems that go beyond the textbook. They build individual integrity as they learn to deal with life`s challenges. Apart from academics and other co-curricular activities, our system incorporates a busy sports schedule, community service, and programs both for study and for enjoyment. Motto: "You are the light of the world," says Enlightened to Light. "You can`t hide a metropolis on a hill." (Matthew 5:14) Assisi School`s education connects children to God, who is the wellspring of all knowledge and understanding. Enlightened Assisians are empowered to go out into the world and spark our people`s lives. Goal We, the Ursuline Franciscan Sisters, are inspired by the teachings of Jesus, our patrons St. Angela Merici and St. Francis of Assisi, our founder Fr Urban Stein, and pioneers, to aim for the integral development of each student in the formal and non-formal educational institutions where our sisters serve so that the students bring about a dimension of social justice in the social, political, economic, and cultural fabric of society. Objective To promote holistic growth, we will Allow everyone to be emotionally stable, mentally aware, ethically healthy, spiritually focused, socially engaged, and culturally enriched. Encourage faith formation in order to develop a personal relationship with God and to incorporate faith into daily living. Promote interreligious interactions through embracing religious-cultural heterogeneity and understanding that differences, rather than being sources of our collective strength, are sources of our collective strength. Educate the poorest elements of society, such as the marginalized, underprivileged, and girl children, to improve their human dignity. To counterbalance the negative consequences of globalization, foster a love for nature via appreciation, conservation, and development of natural resources. To be responsible citizens of our country, foster patriotism by cultivating civic consciousness. Transmit Ursuline Franciscan identity via the simplicity of life, sincerity, and dignity of service that promotes labor and solidarity sharing.
