Overview

Baripada College, Baripada (Dist. Mayurbhanj) was established as Intermediate College on 17th August 1981 and the degree courses came into existence from 17th June 2000 with help of the humble contributions of the people of the locality. It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress. The college is affiliated with the North Orissa University, Baripada formerly affiliated with Utkal University, Bhubaneswar and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) on 9th March 2005 & 12(B) on 5th January 2007 under Act, 1956. It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade (CGPA Score 2.49 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 2nd December 2016. It is a co-educational private Institute, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of a Mayurbhanj played a pioneering role in the field of higher education. The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student`s admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the affiliating university. The college has awarded as the best college by the affiliating university and also a number of awards in publication, offering scholarship & also awarded by the different society. The college offers two years intermediate courses in Arts and Science streams with various specializations under Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha. The college also offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts and Science stream with various specializations under North Orissa University, Baripada. Apart from these courses, the college also offers distance education mode courses in Arts and Science stream under Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi.
