DVS Composite Pre University College is a private college in Shivamogga, Karnataka, established in 1985. Campusbells lists it under PUC/10+2, with courses including 11th & 12th (Science).

In answer to the demand of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of Our Nation, this institution was formed by liberation warriors and instructors. It was founded with the noble goal of raising nationalist awareness and supporting the cause of education for the youngsters of the Malnad region. The institution, which started with only 7 pupils, has now grown to almost 6000 students.

Kuvempu, Dr. G S Shivarudrappa, the poet laureates, and Dr. U R Ananthmurthy are among the district’s literary heavyweights.

DVS Composite College first opened its doors in 1985. This was the age of Prof Devendra’s DVS Independent College, which was the only leading college not only in Shivamogga but also in the Malnad region. There was an uncontrollable demand for admission to DVS Independent College as state rankings and pass percentages continued to grow.

DVS Management made the correct decision to upgrade the DVS High School to the College level in response to the tremendous demand from parents and students. V. In 1985, the decision was put into action, and DVS High School was renamed DVS Composite PU College.

Despite the fact that there were only a few students at first, the institution expanded slowly and gradually year after year thanks to the tireless efforts of the Principal and the dedicated instructors and non-teaching personnel. By 1995, it had established itself as a serious competitor to its sister college, DVS (Ind) College, and was attracting students from other towns and regions as well. DVS Composite PU College was granted a grant in assistance by the Government of Karnataka in 1995, which improved the financial security of the faculty and increased their motivation to work.

The college is known for its discipline and constructive attitude toward students’ overall development. The college now has a vast library with a large collection of excellent books. The books were available to students for the duration of their college experience.

Bhat received the first rank in the second year PUC public examination. He also placed first in Engineering, second in Medical and third in Homeopathy in the Karnataka CET-2006. The Golden Era of DVS Composite PU College followed, with many CET Ranks in the top 100 and State Toppers.

The college, which grew from a student body of 40 to over 500, has demonstrated its competitive spirit in the current challenging environment. Fee Structure: The student must pay the PU Board-mandated costs for Admission, test, sports, library, reading room, student welfare, teacher’s welfare fund, laboratory, and tuition while applying for admission. SC, ST, Cat-1 According to government regulations, students are eligible for fee reductions.

Students can receive a tuition fee reduction by submitting income certificates that meet the government’s guidelines. General: Students must be in their respective classrooms 5 minutes before the start of class; students with attendance of less than 75% in each topic are not entitled to sit for the final test, according to PU regulations. Students are required to take the Terminal Tests, Midterm Exams, and Preparatory Exams.

Students are required to participate in the college’s National Day/Festival Programmers, and all students are required to engage in the various cultural committees’ activities and functions. Students are encouraged to use the library facilities whenever they are not in class. It is recommended that students do not bring significant sums of money or other precious objects to college.

They must look after their possessions. Without the approval of the lecturer, no students may leave the college premises during class hours. A Medical Certificate should be produced whenever a student is absent due to illness.

If a student is unable to participate in the Internal Examinations/Tests due to illness (no other excuses are accepted), the student or his/her Parent/Guardian should notify the Principal. Library: The library is a wonderful trove of information, and students are fortunate to have access to it. Around 22000 books are available, including encyclopaedias and dictionaries, medical and engineering publications.

Journals, magazines, and newspapers keep pupils up to date on current events, while materials for competitive exams are plentiful. C. C.
