Overview

Kashmir Law College was founded by the erstwhile Shadab Educational Trust and is now incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 as SHADAB FOUNDATION FOR EDUCATION AND CHARITY, to impart quality legal education to meet the challenges of globalization. Although there is a Law department in the University of Kashmir, yet the erstwhile Shadab Educational Trust took a bold decision to introduce the first law college in the private sector in Srinagar city, located at Nowshera which is about 8 Kilometres away from the District Court Complex, Srinagar. The College is in close proximity of the University of Kashmir and Institute of Medical Science, Soura. It has a beautiful campus spread over an area of 8 Kanals of land. The College is now permanently affiliated with the University of Kashmir and recognised by the Bar Council of India. The College has maintained a steady progress in terms of academic growth and expansion.
