Overview

Also known as KLC or King`s, King`s College London is a public research institution of higher education which was founded by Arthur Wellesley and King George IV in 1829. Located in London, King`s, the founding institution of the central l of London, is amongst the prestigious colleges of the world. Known to be the 4th oldest university in England, it has a total of five campuses including Strand Campus (founding campus of King`s), Guy`s Campus, Waterloo Campus, St Thomas' Campus and Denmark Hill Campus. The Strand is built near Somerset House on land provided to college`s property. Medicine has been taught at Guy`s Campus and St Thomas` Campus for many centuries. Earlier, the college has five departments including Theological, General Literature and Science, Applied Sciences, Medical and Military.
