TURA POLYTECHNIC was started in 2003 under the WORLD BANK ASSISTED TECH E III. Initially it was housed at GOVT. BOYS HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL TURA from 2003 to 2005 before shifting to its present location at CHERANGRE near TURA PUBLIC SCHOOL.
The first principal of this institute was Mrs. BALBINA T, SANGMA from 2003 to 2007. C.
(10+). The main objectives of the polytechnic courses of studies are to produce technician at supervisory level to meet the demand to Technician manpower in various fields of development. Due emphasis has been given to students both boys and girls to develop entrepreneurial skills in the respective field of study, to promote industry, institute, community interaction to promote teaching learning process through the learning resources utilization center and computer center.
