St. Paul's High School is situated in the rural area of Balkunje, known for hills and valleys decked with fields and forests. On 30th June 1975, the then Parish Priest of Balkunje Rev.

Fr Alexandar Lobo toiled hard to start this school with 81 students asthere was no High School in this vicinity. On 9July 1975 the foundation for the School Building was laid by Rt. Rev.

Dr Basil D'Souza. Within a year with the co-operation of the local people the building was built up. Then the school management was handed over to the Bethany Sisters and in 1980 the school was conferred the permanent recognition.

This school was a boon to the rural poor who could enter through the portals of this institution and get educated to gain status in the society.
